Rev. Col. David Adoteye-Asare assumes office as Chairperson of the Ga Presbytery of Ga Presbytery.

In a brief ceremony held on Sunday, September 1st, at the Jubilee House of the Ga Presbytery, Kuku Hill, Rev. Col. David Adoteye-Asare, officially, assumed the role of Chairperson of the Ga Presbytery. The event marked a significant transition in the leadership of the Presbytery as Rev. Adoteye-Asare took over from Rev. Solomon Nii Mensah Adjei, who had been serving in an acting capacity.

Rev. Adoteye-Asare, in his inaugural address, expressed his deep commitment to the mission and vision of the Church of Ghana. He pledged to work diligently, guided by faith, to lead the Presbytery forward in all aspects. “I promise to work hard and trust in the Lord to move the Presbytery forward in all directions,” he stated, underscoring his dedication to spiritual growth and community development.

The ceremony also witnessed another important leadership transition within the Presbytery. Mrs. Eunice Naa Yeye Ocloo, also assumed office as the new Presbytery Lay Representative to the General Assembly Council, succeeding Ing Ludwig Hesse. Both Rev. Adoteye-Asare and Mrs. Ocloo were elected to their positions during the Presbytery Session held in Abokobi in April, this year.

In attendance was the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev Dr G. N.N Odonkor, members of the Ga Presbytery Council and the broader Presbyterian community, who offered their prayers and support for the new leaders as they embark on their respective roles.

The Ga Presbytery, known for its rich history and active involvement in both spiritual and social initiatives, is poised for continued growth and impact under the new leadership. The congregation and the community at large look forward to the positive developments that will unfold in the coming years.
