The Ga Presbytery Consultation on Evangelism and Church Growth took place at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana El- Shaddai Congregation in the Ashaley Botwe District from Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th May, 2024 under the theme “Building a Resilient Church: The Pull Factors”.
The Rev. Yaw Boamah from the Legon Interdenominational Church was the facilitator for the consultation. The three-day consultation brought together the following stakeholders: Presbytery Officers, District Ministers, Coordinators for Mission& Evangelism and Church life and Nurture at the district level, Ministers and lay members from ecumenical churches within the Presbytery, for learning and discussion on issues relating to building a church that stands the test of time. At the end of the consultations some affirmations were made to guide the process of building a resilient church at the congregational level. Attendance stood as follow: Day1: 108, Day2 118, Day 3 118.
In a related development, on Sunday 12th May, 2024 the Presbytery Mission& Evangelism Week was officially launched at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Ebenezer Congregation in the Ashaley Botwe District during the forenoon service. The Acting Chairperson of Presbytery, Rev. Solomon Nii Mensah Adjei, preached the sermon, under the theme “Jesus Christ the Alpha & Omega, Proclaim Him among the Nations”.
The Ashaley Botwe district donated two brand new motor bikes to the Presbytery for mission work. Funds were raised to support the operations of the Presbytery Mission Fund.
