As part of the annual year Bible quiz competition organize by the Ga Presbytery Committee on Children’s Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. This was spearheaded by the Department of Church Life and Nurture. The competition was a biblical intellectual battle among the children’s Ministry of the Presbytery and this was held on the 10th of October 2015 at Dzorwulu Covenant Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
The main purpose of organising this impeccable and very educative exercise was to sensitise the children about the existence of God, the history of the Church, relevance and the roles of children in the Church towards the spiritual development of the child.
This year’s theme for the quiz was, “Be filled with the Holy Spirit”. This honourable quiz competition organised by the Presbytery Committee was intellectually contested by 5 zone representatives from the Ga Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
At the end of the competition of three rounds Zone Two(2) which was represented by Edwalla Nikoi and Asiedu Boakye Boateng carried the day with (70) points leading Zone Four(4) with a point (69) and a tremendous 4 point difference to Zone (1) with (66) points.
Among the contestants for the various Zones; Edwalla Nikoi emerged the over-all winner, Samuel Quarcopone came 2nd and Asiedu Boakye Boateng came 3rd.
The rest were Betty Avanu Davidson (4th position), HenrittaOsei (5th position), Ayeh Obuobisa Atakora (6th position), Daniel Amoo (7th position), Daniel Dodzi Dzivor (7th position), Matha Owusu Yeboah (9th position) and Enoch Acquah(10thposition),
The atmosphere for the quiz competition was invigorating and stimulating. Captivatingly, the church hall for the quiz competition was filled to capacity with great support from individual congregations. Teachers from participation Districts came in their numbers to grace the occasion. Mr. Dan Afari Yeboah was the quiz master for this noble competition.
