Sod-Cutting Ceremony for The Ga Presbytery Centenary Block

A sod-cutting ceremony to commence the construction of the Centenary Block of the Presbytery was held on Thursday, 3rd March, 2016 at the Jubilee House, Presbytery Offices, Osu. The Centenary Block is an extension to the main Presbytery Office, the Jubilee House.

The Chairperson of Presbytery, Rev. Victor Okoe Abbey performed the ceremony. He was assisted by the Clerk of Presbytery, Rev. William Korley Quaye and witnessed by the Presbytery Council Members, Staff of the Presbytery and the Centenary Block Committee.

Before cutting the sod, Rev. Abbey gave a brief background account to the centenary block construction. He said, after the construction of the main building, the Jubilee House, it became obvious that more office spaces were needed. This informed the Presbytery to construct an extension to the existing building. Rev. Victor Abbey commended the laudable idea of his predecessors for working hard to generate resources for the project, praising them for their support and contribution to the project.

In conclusion, the Chairperson of Presbytery stated that the project will need the support and prayer of all stakeholders to ensure its completion in record time.
