Hope P.C.G Sakumono Estates Celebrates 25th Anniversary

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Hope Congregation, Sakumono Estates in the Ga Presbytery of the Church held a thanksgiving service to climax activities marking its 25th anniversary celebration in Accra.
The service which attracted a host of PCG Clergy and well-wishers from far and near was on the theme: “Holding On To The Hope That Never Disappoints” (Romans 5:1-5).
Rt. Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church was the Guest Preacher for the occasion. Speaking on the theme: “Holding On To The Hope That Never Disappoints”, congratulated the founding members for the church for their contribution over the past 25 years and encouraged the entire membership of the congregation to continue in holding on to the hope of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Moderator said a country with no vision lack direction, and that if the government rely on God for a spiritual vision that will make Ghana a better place for all.
“The best vision 2020 for Ghana is the one found in 2 Chronicle 20:20which quotes: “Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful,” the Moderator noted.
Rt. Rev. Prof. Martey said it was regrettable that the government and some of its officials do not respect the men of God in Ghana, Due to the fact that they do not know the Lord Jesus Christ, thus missing out of the goodness of God.
He encouraged the Ghanaians to start appreciation God in their worship and that will make the heavens open up on their situation.
Unveiling of Plaque
As part of the celebration the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey, together with the Clergy present at the ceremony unveiled a plaque to the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the church.

The well attended service attracted a host of senior clergy men of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in attendance, they were;Rev. Victor Okoe Abbey ( Ga Presbytery Chairperson), Rev. Dr. B. Y. Gideon BuenorPuplampu (Minister in Charge, Calvary congregation, Ashiaman), Rev. (Mrs.) VereGyan-Amponsah, Rev. K. K. Asante Sarpong (Minister in Charge, Redemption congregation, New Gbawe), Rev. Kwaku Bio Kyeamen (PCG CLAN Director) Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah (PCG Properties and Estates Director) and Rev. Dr. Solomon Sule Saa (North Presbytery Chairperson)
Awards, certificates and plaques were presented to founding members, hardworking and deserving members and past ministers who contributed their quota to the development of the church over the past 25 year’s existence.
Rev. Nii Lankwei Lawson, Sakumono District Minister and Minister In-charge of Hope Congregation led the service.
