Foundation Stone Laid At Mount Moriah PCG Congregation

The Ga Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor has perform a ceremony at Danfa in the Ga Presbytery to lay a foundation stone of the Mount Moriah PCG Congregation. The ceremony attracted a host of Presbyterian Ministers and the laity.
Rev. Dr. Odonkor explaining the purpose of the laying of the foundation stone, he said it is done to invoke the spirit of God, the occasion is used to bury the history of the church, history of Ghana, the word of God and other relevant information in the foundations of the building for future generations to be able to access it.
He stated that the practice does not have any ill motive, hence members who have it in their minds that the practice is ungodly should desist from that.
Earlier on preaching on the theme; “Will You Also Go” (John 6:67), said life was about making choices, saying “the only thing that we do not have the opportunity to choose is our parents.”
He explained that the challenge for many Christians is that they want to follow the crowd instead of making efforts to stand out by their choices.
Rev. Dr. Odonkor pointed out that the greatest of all choices that we have as human beings is to choose to be a Christian or not be, adding that, “the choices we make today determine what the future will be”.
He, therefore, admonished Christians that like Joshua in the Bible, we should resolve to serve the Lord well, “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord”.
Commenting on the Mount Moriah Presbyterian Congregation, Rev. Dr. Odonkor said the church that started from a humble beginning in a classroom has now become a peri-urban church which clearly demonstrates God at work.
“Mount Moriah Congregation is a beacon of hope and a lighthouse for the Danfa community,” he said; commending the Reverend Minister In-Charge and the entire leadership of the church for their good work.
