Coral Concert

As part of the Presbytery’s 90th Anniversary Celebration, a choral concert was organised at the Immanuel Congregation, Madina on Saturday, 14th January 2012.  Among the choirs that participated in this programme were the Presbyterian Senior High School, Osu, Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, Legon, the Levite Choir(University of Ghana), Basel Chorale, the Ga Presbytery Choirs’ Union, the Kaneshie Youth Choir, The Singing Band, Tema Manhean and the Ga Presbytery Singing Band Squad.

Welcoming the audience Rev Dr. G. Nii Noi Odonkor thanked God for the faith and work of the pioneers of the Presbytery. He paid tribute to all past officers of the Presbytery and challenged all to do their bit for the Presbytery.

The programme was massively attended by various congregations in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.  Among the Ministers who attend the programme were, Rev. Dr. Godwin N. N. Odonkor, Chairperson of Presbytery, Rev. Rose Teteki Abbey, Clerk of Presbytery,
Rev. E. Kissiedu-Ayi, Chairman of the 90th Anniversary Planning Committee and Rev. Enoch Pobee, Madina District Minister.  Members of staff of the Ga Presbytery office were present to support the programme.

The Choral groups rendered gospel music of praise that edified the soul.

The Clerk, Rev. Rose Abbey in her closing remarks indicated that the programme has indeed been a huge success as all the participants had truly been blessed by it.  Rev. Dr. Odonkor then said the closing prayer and gave the benediction to end the programme.
