The annual Presbytery meeting now referred to as the Presbytery Synod will come off at the Abokobi Women’s Centre from 18th to 23rd April, 2015.
This year’s Presbytery Synod will be hosted by the Sakumono District. Present will be the Agent and Lay representatives of the various Districts and Mission Field within the Presbytery, Ministers-in-Other Fields, Ministers with Ecumenical Congregation Congregations, General Assembly Officers as well as a host of other dignataries.
Per the Constitution of the Church, Chairpersons of Presbyteries are elected every five (5) years. This year marks the end of tenure of the current Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor.
During the upcoming Presbytery Synod in April 2015, a new Chairperson would be elected to replace Rev. Dr. Odonkor. Nominated for the position are the Rev. Dr. Jonathan Ayite-Mensah, currently the Presbyterian Minister with the Accra Ridge Church and the Rev. Victor Okoe Abby, District Minister, Teshie.
